Front Cubby Drop Zone

This is the cubby system that I have in my front hallway. I have a different color cubby for each child. I use those cubbys for all the little things that you find around the house of the kids when you are cleaning up. We also use them for hats and gloves for the kids.
My husband has a charging station on top for his cell phones and keys.
The kids have to clean out their cubbys and put away their things every week or two.
This system might not work for everyone, or may work in another area of the house rather than the front hallway. Use your imagination!

Love, love, love the cubby system! In fact I have the same one for the kids toys in the playroom.

Great stuff!

I have something similar in my son's room, but this is a great idea for "lost and found" around the house.

I have one of these in my son's closet and it works great there for all the different types of toys he has. There is one for Power Rangers and all their stuff (they are as bad as Barbies). There is one for all the Monster Trucks, one for the legos, one for the play food. It works wonderfully. I hadn't thought about using one of these in my entry way. He starts kindergarten next year and I think this would be a wonderful way to keep him organized (and me, too). Thanks for such a good idea. I would never have thought to use in the entry way.

I have one of these for the kid's homeschool stuff. I just need to buy the cute fabric baskets. The baskets would actually be a better idea because then they could take all their supplies at once and transport them easier, while still keeping everything together.

Thanks!
